Moments – Layout for My Creative Sketches challenge

Each month, My Creative Sketches has an original sketch to inspire you to create. This month’s sketch by Michelle Fowler has some clean lines and geometric shapes. When I looked at it, everything I came up with was pretty clean and simple even though there’s quite a bit of layering in the design. So, rather than fight it, I went with it! When I think CAS, Teresa Collins is the first brand that comes to mind. Everything she creates is clean, elegant, well coordinated and has a touch of sophistication. Once I selected a fun trio of photos featuring my 3 youngest kids, I used the colors in the photos to ultimately choose TC’s Everyday Moments for this page. Here’s what I came up with:

August 2012 Class Kit for SKWAD – Autumn & Time to go Home

For this month’s Class Kit at SKWAD (Scrapbook Kits with a Difference) I was sent some lovely Bo Bunny Forever Fall papers to work with along with a batch of fun coordinating embellies! So, with this kit, you will receive photos as examples of 2 layouts and a bonus tag (which can easily be converted into a card), all the materials to use, and step by step instructions on how to create the pages and tag. Handsome – Layout for Sketchabilities and STTG #2

Sketchabilities #66 features a gorgeous sketch by Karan Gerber. I decided to combine the sketch w/my dt work for STTG‘s second challenge. STTG’s March challenge has 3 tiers. From a list of 4 colors, 4 embellishments, 2 shapes and 2 techniques, you select a specified number from the categories for each level to complete your project. Here’s my take on level 3 of the STTG challenge using the Sketchabilities #66 sketch:

3 months Layout – My Creative Sketches

My Creative Sketches is having an awesome contest full of prizes and fab sketches. Each month for 3 months, they’re posting a new sketch to create with and selecting 3 winners for 3 prizes each month (one chosen by the dt and 2 random).
