Love & Happiness – dt layout for Sketchabilities sketch #99

***(HINT HINT)READ TO THE END***I’m so excited to share my first layout as part of the Sketchabilities team! I’m honored to be working with such talented crafters! Please be sure to stop by the Sketchabilities challenge blog to see all the fabulous examples they’ve created for sketch #99. 😀

For my page I just HAD to use Webster’s Pages. I think everyone has their favorite manu’s and their standbys. For me, WP is my go to manu. Whether I’m looking for their gorgeous classic papers, a soft pattern or a bold one, I’m sure to find just the right combination with their collections. I have to admit though, I’m totally guilty of HOARDING my WP. They’re so beautiful that sometimes it’s really hard to make myself USE them, cut into them, layer and not just admire them. lol Here’s what I came up with for sketch #99 using a combination of WP’s Palm Beach and Everyday Poetry:

The incredible sketch I got to work with:

Materials:

Webster’s Pages papers, sparklers, cameo, frame, journaling card, fabric ticket and flower
October Afternoon stickers and flower sack bits
Freckled Fawn polaroid frames
Prima wood pieces
Tim Holtz distress stains, paints and washi tape
jute
gesso
acrylic paint
Pitt big brush pen
doily
sizzix die cut flourish

HERE’S THE REALLY FUN PART!!! Just for stopping by the Sketchabilities blog, checking out the entire dt’s examples there and saying hi to me, I’m giving away one $10 gc to my new favorite laser cut chipboard and wood cuts company,

Creative Embellishments!

CE is a brand new company started by my bestie and her hubby and they offer high quality, stunning, intricate original designs at great prices! I also have the awesome privilege of designing for them. 😀

THAT’S NOT ALL!!! If you decide to play along w/the Sketchabilities sketch #99, let me know here on my blog and I will select 1 participant to receive a HUGE Webster’s Pages/October Afternoon mystery prize pack that I will put together personally. This prize pack will include papers, embellishments, trims and more! Guaranteed to have a retail value of OVER $50!!! 😀

I will select 1 winner for the $10 gc from all the comments left on the Sketchabilities Sketch #99 reveal post that mention “hi” or my name in any way. 😀 I will select 1 winner for the HUGE Webster’s Pages/October Afternoon mystery prize from all comments here on my blog that let me know they played along w/the Sketchabilities sketch challenge. Thank you!

Climb Every Mountain – dt layout for SKWAD

This is the dt layout I created for the October Sketch challenge at SKWAD. Around this time last year, Alex was playing soccer and our other kids were playing on the sidelines during his practices and games each weekend. In these pictures, Christian is trying really hard to make his way up a little hill with a bit of an incline. His new shoes and the grass seemed to create a bit of a challenge for him, so it seemed he might as well have been trying to climb a mountain…thus the title for the page. 🙂 I used Webster’s Pages Sunday Picnic papers and a bit of bling and trim from that collection. Here’s what I came up with for the sketch:

If you’d like to play along, entries are due by midnight (Australian EST) October 31, 2012, TFL!

Last Chance! Only 1 Class Kit Remaining!

These are the 2 pages I created for the September Class Kit at SKWAD (Scrapbook Kits with a Difference). For September, Julianne sent me some lovely Webster’s Pages Girl Land papers and stickers to work with, along with some flowers, buttons, twine, a pin, a crown chippie and a doily. All class kits come with everything you need to create the pages shown (except basic materials like scissors, pens, ink and glitter glue) and step by step instructions on how to recreate the examples. I’m very late getting this posted, so if you’d like the class kit shown below, please hurry! There’s only 1 left! CLICK HERE to go to the listing at SKWAD.

TFL!
