Sweet Heart – Creative Embellishments and CSI Guest project for Case 171

Hi everyone this month the Creative EmbellishmentsΒ team is playing along with the CSI cases and this is how I solved case #171.

Sweet Heart

Here is the case info:

From the evidence category, I used triangles and texture paste on my background. πŸ˜€

Here are some other close ups of the CE pieces I’ve layered on my page:

I love how CE pieces are so easy to alter and layer to create a story on your project.

First Day of School (Kindergarten) – Layout for Creative Scrappers sketch #197

I absolutely love Creative Scrappers sketch #197! As soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect for my dt layout for the Manufacturer/Brand challenge I’m hosting on Paper Secrets. This month’s featured manufacturer is Graphic 45, so I selected a pic of Matthew this last fall on his first day of school and the fabulous G45 ABC Primer. My Girl Layout – Once Upon a Sketch Challenge Entry

I’ve had this photo of Madison for quite a while and have been waiting for just the right sketch and papers to use for it. Getting a good picture of her is a challenge (she plasters on a fake looking smile whenever she sees the camera), so pretty pics of her are few and far between! I’ve been further challenged by the fact that it’s a Christmas pic, but doesn’t really look like Christmas? I wanted to use non-traditional Christmas colors and figured I’d just have to pick a line that’s actually meant for Spring. Well, Webster’s Pages recently released their Winter Fairy Tales collection for the Summer CHA and I found this wonderful sketch on Once Upon a Sketch and knew I’d finally found the perfect combination for my daughter’s photo. πŸ˜€ Here’s what I came up with:

Materials:

Webster’s Pages Winter Fairy Tales 12×12 papers
WP Dazzle Me Gems
WP Bloomers
WP Storytellers Alphas
WP heart Whimsey
Prima Flowers
Crocheted flower received in my prize pack by Marivic last month (berry71bleu.com)

Adhesives:

Helmar Acid Free Glue
Helmar adhesive runner
Helmar 450 Quick Dry
Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots

Tools:

Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch
