SWAT drill #22 is now live! For this challenge, there’s a pagemaps sketch and the twist is to include Santa on your page in some way. For my take on the challenge, I went with photos of my youngest son dressed up like Santa Mickey and used some fabulous Creative Embellishments chippies. One features a silhouette of Santa in his reindeer guided sleigh. Another has his stuck in a chimney and then the title piece of course uses the name “Santa” 😀 Here’s what I came up with:

Here’s a close up of the Santa’s Scroll and quill set. I love this piece! It’s so fun and would be great for layering too:

This close up shows the title piece layered with the doily frame and Harlequin lattice panel. I had to snip the lead reindeer off of the Santa’s Sleigh piece and still wanted to incorporate it on my page, so I added it to the left of my title:

The Christmas Tree – dt layout for Sketchabilities

For my take on the sketch, I used some fabulous laser cut chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments and older papers from Echo Park and embellies from Webster’s Pages. Happy Thursday, everyone! I’m up on the Creative Embellishments blog with another Christmas layout to share. For this page, I decided to go with a pic of my youngest son, Christian opening his first Christmas present. The previous year, he was just 6 months old, so he didn’t open his own gifts. 😉

If you don’t know this about me already, I’m a huge Webster’s Pages fan and have horrible hoarding tendencies with their products…I’m avidly working on breaking that habit, so you’ll be seeing a lot of WP projects over the next few months. lol Anyway, I went with the oldest Christmas papers of theirs that I have and made them fresh and current with some FABULOUS Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces! I just love how easy they are to incorporate into any project and totally make my page come to life. 😀

For this layout, I was also inspired by the Monday Mojo sketch at Flying Unicorn. Here’s what I came up with:

Drill #21 is now LIVE at SWAT – Scrap Warriors Advanced Training and all you have to do is create a project using a Christmas Carol for your title or sentiment. 😀 Here’s what I came up with:
