Feature on the Webster's Pages Blog

There are times in my life when mere words cannot begin to express the depths of my gratitude or emotions. This is one of them, but I’ll try my best to explain…

Webster’s Pages recently added a few new features to their blog. Each day of the week, Mon-Fri, is dedicated to a particular topic. On Thursdays, the WP’s topic is “All About You” meaning us, the die hard fans of Webster’s.

Last night I was contacted by Brandin O’Neill, asking for a recent photo since the only image she’d ever seen was the back of my head (my profile pic on the Webster’s Page’s ning (InspireMe) and on facebook). Ha! I had to ask Larry to take a few since, well…I didn’t have any! When I asked her why, imagine my surprise when I found out that she was planning to feature ME on the Webster’s Pages blog! I’m still in shock! CLICK HERE if you’d like to see the post!

In case you don’t know, Brandin is the co-owner of Webster’s Pages (a family owned company) and the designer of the most gorgeous scrapbooking papers you’ll ever find anywhere! Her brother is her business partner and her sister heads customer service! How fabulous is that? I love that they are so close. 😀 WP also offers incredibly innovative and creative embellishments that coordinate with their lines beautifully. Have I mentioned yet how much I LOVE Webster’s Pages products? Every line they’ve designed is awe inspiring. How could anyone see these fantastic designs and not itch to create with them?

I feel so honored that Brandin selected me for today’s WP post. I’m touched that she took the time to do this! Brandin, a person I admire for her dedication, her talent, her love for her children, has shown me once again exactly why Webster’s Pages holds a special place in my heart. They’re not just a business, they’re REAL people who truly care about the individuals who love their company.

Love Nest layout – Pencillines sketch challenge entry

This is the nest that love built. This is the porch that houses the nest that love built. This is the woman that puts up with the unpainted porch that houses the nest that love built. 😀 Each year doves build a nest in this one corner of our porch. One year, they nested twice. Now, I don’t know if my dh is being sentimental or just using it as an excuse, but he claims that he will not repaint this section of the porch until they stop coming back, because he doesn’t want to risk causing them to nest elsewhere. Not sure how well you can see, but in these photos, the chicks have hatched and have their beaks open, chirping for food.

I created this layout based on the sketch provided on Pencillines for their sketch#228 challenge. Here’s what I came up with:

Materials:

Basic Grey Phoebe “Angel Island” cardstock base
BG Blush “Be Mine” cardstock
BG Blush “Charmed” cardstock
BG Blush “Double Dark” cardstock
Little Yellow Bicycle Twig Chipboard Shapes
LYB Twig Chipboard Sticker
LYB Canvas Stickers – Borders
Pink Paislee Cushies alphas
October Afternoon Mini Market sticker alphas
Distress Ink

Adhesives:

Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro PermaTac
Helmar 450 Quick Dry Liquid
American Crafts This to That foam Dots

I am also entering this layout into 2 other challenges. On sketches for all, the challenge is to create a layout using either photos of animals or no photos at all. To enter this challenge, CLICK HERE.

On Back Porch Memories, the challenge is to complete a layout (single or double, any size) using ONLY Basic Grey papers. You can use any cardstock or other embellishments, but the patterned paper must all be Basic Grey. You can mix and match paper between Basic Grey lines. Do What? layout – Sketchy Thursdays challenge entry

Here’s Matthew up close and personal. 😀 These were taken when he was just 2 years old. This kiddo loves the camera (unlike Christian…I’m still trying to get shots of him where he isn’t staring at me like I’m an alien!).

I created this layout based on the 3.03 sketch provided on Sketchy Thursdays for their challenge. Everything you see, except the brown alphas and brown cardstock I used to mat the photos, is from Bo Bunny’s gorgeous Garbielle line. I love this beautiful, detailed line and enjoyed further challenging myself to use what seems at first to be a “girly” range on a boy page. This has been a goal of mine since 95% of my crafty goodies tend to be girly, but I have 4 boys and 1 girl! Here’s what I came up with:

Materials:

Bo Bunny Gabrielle 12×12 papers
American Crafts Brown cardstock
BB Gabrielle stickers
BB Pet Shop sticker alphas
BB Gabrielle “True Friend” cardstock stickers
BB Gabrielle brad
BB Gabrielle chipboard

Adhesives:

Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro PermaTac
