How Old Are You? – Sketches in Thyme challenge entry

Here’s another layout I created using the fabulous Stella and Rose collection by My Mind’s Eye. I’ve been very impressed with how well the embellishments coordinate with all of papers. I especially like their new label stickers and metal buttons! The brads for this collection are reminiscent of ones they came out with for the Lost and Found collection. Love them!

For this layout, I again stuck with the “Hazel” range and based it off of the Pagemaps sketch for the Thursday Takes Challenge #38 at Sketches In Thyme:

Materials:

My Mind’s Eye Stella and Rose “Mother” papers
MME Stella and Rose “Mother” transparency
MME S&R “Lovely” label sticker
MME S&R “Fancy” button
MME S&R “Lovely” brads
MME S&R “Memories” trims
Webster’s Pages Storytellers alphas

Adhesives:

Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro PermaTac
Helmar 450 Quick Dry liquid

The Perfect Spot – Scrap Whispers challenge entry

For this layout, I combined a color challenge from Scrap Whispers with a sketch by Melissa on Sketches4all. The colors to use were brown and mint green. You can accent with black or white if you need to. I’m also entering this layout into Sketches in Thymes’ Open Challenge #4. You can enter any layout you have created that is based on a sketch (up to 3 entries). Here’s the great sketch Melissa posted:

And here’s what I came up with:

Little Builder – Scrap Whispers challenge entry

I created this layout for Challenge 88 on the Scrap Whispers site. It is a “Forgotten Treasures” challenge. Here’s what it says on the post: “This week is all about that forgotten stash you have hidden in the bottom of a dark drawer. Drag out something you’ve had for ages and just not managed to use despite maybe staring at it on a few occasions. Use it! Could be weird coloured ribbon, enormous stickers, ugly patterned die-cuts. Alter it if you like, just use it!”

Digging through my stash, I found this Creative Imaginations paper. I have no idea when it is from. All I know is that when I first started scrapping, I bought a huge lot of paper from someone who was getting rid of their stash since they were no longer into papercrafting. I figured it would be perfect for this challenge!

Here’s what I did with it:

Materials:

Creative Imaginations Marah Johnson paper
American Crafts green cardstock
Gold foil doily
Webster’s Pages Storytellers alphas
Sakura brush tip marker

Adhesive:

Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro PermaTac

Baby Kiwi – Bo Bunny sketch challenge

Baby Kiwi was only in our family for a short period of time, but the kids still talk about her a lot. We miss her dearly. When we got her, Madison was only 3 years old and we didn’t name her right away. In the meantime, Madison kept calling her Baby Kitty which sounded like Baby Kiwi. That’s how she got her name. 😀

I created this layout based on a sketch on the Bo Bunny blog for their sketch challenge:

Materials:

American Crafts white cardstock base
Bo Bunny Pet Shop Words cardstock
BB Pet Shop Cat-Atude cardstock
BB Pet Shop Stripe cardstock
BB Pet Shop Sweater cardstock
BB Pet Shop Spot cardstock
Ranger Distress Inks

Adhesives:

Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro PermaTac
Scotch Quick Dry Liquid
American Crafts This to That foam dots

Tools:

Martha Stewart Edge/Border punch
Making Memories large and Medium heart punches
