August 2012 Class Kit for SKWAD – Autumn & Time to go Home

For this month’s Class Kit at SKWAD (Scrapbook Kits with a Difference) I was sent some lovely Bo Bunny Forever Fall papers to work with along with a batch of fun coordinating embellies! So, with this kit, you will receive photos as examples of 2 layouts and a bonus tag (which can easily be converted into a card), all the materials to use, and step by step instructions on how to create the pages and tag. Here’s what I came up with:

Guest Designer for The Paper Variety

I feel so honored to be a guest designer for the current challenge at The Paper Variety! CLICK HERE to check out my feature on their site! 😀 The challenge posted April 1st is due on April 13th and here are the current challenge details:

And here is my take on it:

Rather than using a flat envelope, I decided to create a dimensional box envelope to coordinate with my card.

Materials:

Authentique Loyal pp
Authentique Loyal diecut sticker
Dusty Attic Chipboard Label
Tattered Angels glimmer mist
October Afternoon buttons

Adhesives:

Helmar 450 Quick Dry
Helmar Premium Craft Glue
Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots

Tools:

Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch

I’m also using this project as my dt example for the Paper Secrets Manufacturer/Brand Challenge that Nicolle is hosting for April. 😀

April projects for Paper Secrets

Each month, Paper Secrets offers a variety of challenges that are posted on the first and due by 11:59 pm Pacific on the last day of the month. There is always an exclusive layout sketch challenge created and hosted by the talented Rochelle, a card sketch challenge created and hosted by Joyce, and 2 other challenges that vary in type/theme. For April, Nicolle is hosting the manufactuer/brand challenge and has selected Authentique as our featured company. 😀

For my final month on the Paper Secrets Design Team, I selected an “Inspired by Spring” challenge. To enter, your card, layout or altered project must include 3+ handmade flowers (any technique of your choosing), pastel colors, and something in your title, journaling or sentiment that has to do with Spring. Here are my examples for the challenges (except the manu challenge…my example for that one will be posted tomorrow, since I combined it with my GDT example for the The Paper Variety‘s Card + coordinating envelope challenge):
