Valentine’s card

This card is based on a sketch by Card Patterns on the Sketches in Thyme blog for their challenge this week. I combined it with challenge 85 on Scrap Whispers, which is to create a layout or card using red and black, include a heart and add glitter. For this card, I used Webster’s Pages’ Hollywood Vogue and Garden Gala Papers as well as their trim. The scrolls are from Maya Road, but I cut them to the shape and size I wanted, then added stickles for the glitter. The brads are by Kaiser. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the scallop towards the bottom of the card and distress ink on all the paper edges. The hearts were hand cut.

You’ve Inspired Me Card

inside the card:

For this card, I used Webster’s Pages’ Nature’s Storybook Papers, Bloomers and Storytellers alphas. The butterflies were cutout from the papers. I handmade the trinket pins using an eyepin and beads and a headpin and beads. The “crystal” bead dangling on the chain is a Maya Road Chandelier bead. The pearls are by Kaiser and the flourish bling is by Prima, but I trimmed and altered it slightly.

I entered this card in the Create challenge by Scrapbook Trends, Cards and Simply Handmade Magazines. All you need to do to enter is create a card decorated w/a butterfly and email your entry. For full details or to enter, CLICK HERE.

Happy Birthday Card

This card was created using the Lil’ Robots Paper Pack by My Minds Eye. The edge punch is Fiskars.

This card is my interpretation of the sketch by Anam Stubbington on MME’s blog found HERE.

I’m also entering this card in the Scrap Whispers Challenge which simply involves creating any project that features robots. For more info or to enter, CLICK HERE.
