The Creative Embellishments April Challenge is now live and it’s fantastic! 😀 Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the challenge details and view all the DT’s FABULOUS examples! This month, our challenge is to use the inspo image in any way you’re inspired and…that’s it! There’s no twist this round, so anything goes. Just be sure to mention how you were inspired by the pic and incorporate at least 1 CE product into your project (card, layout, canvas, art journal page, tag, altered art project, etc). All entries must be uploaded to this post on our blog by 11:55 pm eastern on April 30, 2015 in order to qualify for the $50 gc prize that’s up for grabs: APRIL CHALLENGE POST

GUESS WHAT?!! It’s that time again! Creative Embellishments is having a dt call for their May – August term!!! I can honestly say CE is the most awesome company to design for! It’s family owned and operated and they are beyond generous with their designers. I LOVE working with their fabulous products and I love the drama free, friendly team atmosphere! If YOU want to be part of something amazing, love paper crafting and working with gorgeous laser cut chipboard, wood veneer and flair, get your application in!

WE are looking for 8 fun crafty folks for our team. This term is a 4 month term. My goal is to have 3 DT calls a year. I want to keep things fresh and get our products into as many hands as possible.

What will be required from you?

Must be good with deadlines.

3 projects a month (1 layout/project for our monthly challenge and 2 other layouts/projects)

Write a blog post providing a brief description of what you did to alter the chipboard (or other products) along with a list of the products used linked to our store on our CE blog.

Please share as well on your personal blog/facebook and any other social media site you are active on.

Comment on participant’s entries to our monthly challenges.

Good photography skills of projects required.

Occasionally you will be asked to create 1 to 2 additional projects as guest spots at the sites we sponsor. This may not happen at all during this term but want to be prepared in case it does. So please keep this in mind.

We are looking for all styles….Clean and simple, shabby chic, grunge, eclectic,mixed media and off the page etc

The deadline for this call is March 28th. The designers will be contacted on or around April 1st . The term will run from May 1st 2015 through August 31st 2015. Thanks to all who apply in advance. I am sure it will not be an easy task to narrow it down to 8 people. There are so many talented folks out there. I am however looking for a well rounded team of all styles showcasing our products.

Creative Embellishments and Scrap Around the World

It’s been ages since I last crafted, so it was great to take some time out to create a layout using some of my favorite Creative Embellishments chippies, veneers and an adorable flair button. 😀 CE is sponsoring Scrap Around the World this month and their incredibly talented dt members were given the opportunity to guest design for SATW as well! I was inspired by the natural, earthy colors, flowers, waves in the lady’s hair, the wood. Here’s what I came up with:

Creative Embellishments/Heartfelt Creations team up!

I’m a huge fan of Heartfelt Creations’ products. I love their stamps and dies, but more than anything, I LOVE their gorgeous papers, so I was thrilled when I heard about the team up between two such amazing companies! I got to work with HFC’s Once Upon a Time Papersand Celebrate the Journey Papers. Since two other team members used Celebrate the Journey, I primarily used Once Upon a Time for my project along with a few scraps from other HFC papers I already had on hand. This is going to be photo heavy because it’s a paper bag mini album (my first!), using 3 full sized paper lunch bags.

For the cover, I also used these products by Creative Embellishments which I altered by using Smooch inks: Steampunk Timepiece from their 3 piece mini set, a Butterfly from their 3 piece set, Flourish 17 and Photo or Page Corners Set 2. Distressed edges on the papers are inked with Distress Ink and the trims are by Graphic 45 and My Mind’s Eye. I also used the other corner pieces from the set as holders for tags inside the album.
